The South Florida Fair & Palm Beach Expo
Here's the last two year's projects, 03' and 04'. They both utilized 500 tons of sand and took approx. 3 weeks to build. The two artist's who sculpted these were HSA owner Dave Henderson and guest artist Al Matsumoto from Roanoke, Virginia.
A New England theme produced a harpooned sperm whale being attacked by two great white sharks. One of which was going after a seal, who was going after a salmon, who was going after a lure on the end of the fishing pole that grandma was using, who was sitting behind grandpa who just could'nt seem to get a bite...
This year's theme gave us a design that was one of our most difficult to execute. We ended up with a herd of buffalos crashing into a Conastoga wagon being pulled by four racing steeds. Creative Director, Greg Fawcett stands atop one of our subject horses...
